AG Sues WNY Contractor Over Shoddy Work

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Buffalo home imporovement contractor is being sued by the attorney general's office for defrauding consumers.

Eric Schneiderman's office says Justin Jerge, who does business as JRJ Contracting, collected thousands for home repairs he never provided or for supplies never ordered.

Any repairs done by Jerge were shoddy according to Schneiderman's suit.

The AG says Jerge in one case took $50,000 rom the parents of a disabled adult seeking home improvements to keep their daughter in their home, but never did the work.

A judge has signed a temporary restraining order barring Jerge from the home improvement industry unless he posts a $200,000 bond.
