As part of the Buffalo Memorial Memorial Aud demolition, the time capusle placed in a cornerstone of the facility when it was built in 1939 has been recovered. Demolition crews removed the shoe box size copper box yesterday. The contents 
have not yet been removed.To put things in perspective, the following happenned in1939:
MGM's classic musical film version of The Wizard of Oz, premiered at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
World War II: began with the Nazi invasion of Poland
CBS Television began transmission.
City of Buffalo officials say they will will open that box in a future ceremony.
