Bills Fans Call For A Boycott Of First Quarter At Next Home Game
First a billboard calling for the firing of Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron, now a protest. Some fans are calling for a boycott at the next home game.
Its called the Buffalo Bills November 1st First Quarter Protest. Its being organized by Lisa Klein who describes herself as a lifelong, avid fan and a 10 year season ticket holder. Klein says "we've just had enough of this terrible season and the product that they're putting on the field and since the staff isn't doing anything about it, we thought as fans maybe we could go ahead and try to make some changes here."
Klein is calling on fans with tickets to the next home game on November 1st, not to boycott the entire game, but to stay out of Ralph Wilson Stadium for the first quarter, meaning, the team would play the first 15 minutes of the game in front of nobody.
The goal according to Klein is to send a loud and clear message to the coaching staff and team administration. "We hope to send a message...that the fans are willing to go to the games and willing to support the team as we have for the past 50 years...but we can't support the organization putting out a product...it almost seems like they're trying to lose."
