Bills Fans Get to Pay Final Respects to Ralph Wilson
Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) Today, Bills fans can pay their final respects to the man who founded the team. A remembrance and celebration of Ralph Wilson's life takes place at the Buffalo Bills Fieldhouse.
Scott Berchtold with the Bills says the exhibits in the walk-through remembrance will contain photos of Wilson as owner of the Bills as well as personal effects. "His bust from the Hall of Fame and yellow jacket from his hall of fame ceremony. We've brought items from his office to the fieldhouse to put on display," says Berchtold.
Berchtold says the military aspect will also be featured. "He was a lieutenant in the Navy and there are several items on the display will be shown to the public for the first time. His medals are being brought here from the Hall of Fame for this," notes Berchtold.
The lot opens at noon, and you're asked to enter from Big Tree Road onto Drive 1. This is a non-tailgating event. Fans are reminded this is a walk-through event, so you can go anytime between 1 and 4pm.
