Brother Says "No Affair"

(AP/WBEN) The brother of the upstate New York school superintendent who was shot dead near his home says it's inaccurate to say his brother was having an affair with the wife of the man accused of killing him.

Kevin Reed said Saturday that his brother didn't know that the woman he met online was married. Reed said a social networking profile listed her as divorced. She didn't respond to a message seeking comment.

A person familiar with the investigation told The Associated Press on Saturday that Anthony Robert Taglianetti II believed Clymer, N.Y., Superintendent Keith Reed Jr. was having an affair with his wife. The person requested anonymity because the information was not being publicly released by authorities.

Taglianetti was captured in Virginia. He has been charged with second-degree murder
