City officials and developers of the Buffalo RiverWorks project have come to an agreement, much to the delight of organizers for the annual Labatt Pond Hockey Tournament. The agreement allows for parking and traffic control along Ganson Street and Kelly Island where the project is being developed alongside several industrial sites. The deal still requires approval by the Buffalo Common Council.

 

A Bronx health-care firm has advanced its plans to provide home health services in Erie and Niagara counties. According to Business First, Alpine Home Health Care LLC had already filed plans in late December to establish a new certified home health agency in New York State. Alpine currently operates Waterfront Health Care Center in downtown Buffalo.

 

Community Bank System Incorporated's board of directors has approved a stock repurchase program. It authorizes the financial institution to buy back no more than 2 million shares of common stock between January 1st and December 31st, according to a new regulatory filing.
