Erie County’s Industrial Development Agency approved $2.19 million in tax abatements for three projects yesterday. Orchard Park’s McGard, a global security products supplier, received inducements toward an $8.25 million expansion. Automated Machine Technologies, Incorporated got $1 million for a planned new facility. Ellicott Development’s plan for the former Fairmont Creamery on Perry Street was approved. Through a subsidiary, Ellicott Development plans a $14.6 million renovation that will include apartments, office space and a restaurant.
Sisters of Charity Hospital’s plan to shift three operating rooms to its St. Joseph campus has been approved by state regulators. Business First reports construction on the OR project should begin later this year.
