The local gas price average is thirty cents higher than the national average. The AAA reports a gallon of unleaded in WNY costs $3.65.
A slight change of plans for Flying Bison's proposed headquarters and tasting room at 840 Seneca Street. According to Business First, a revised proposal has been sent to the Buffalo Planning Board. Instead of refurbishing the existing structure, Flying Bison wants to raze the building and construct a new facility at the same location.
A modification of plans is in the works for Northtown. The automobile dealership has submitted a development proposal to the Amherst Planning Board that details an effort to construct a Subaru-only series of buildings. Northtown Subaru on Sheridan Drive currently shares space with a Hyundai sales center. The plan is to convert a former Sheridan Drive bowling alley property and adjoining building into the Subaru campus.
UB doesn't have the funding for it, but a long-term plan involving football stadium improvements has been unveiled. The “UB Athletics Facilities Master Plan” also envisions separate soccer and baseball stadiums near the football field. A $50 million price tag has been put on the collective projects.
