Buffalo Business Report - Wednesday, February 26th 2014

The Buffalo Planning Board green-lighted a trio of projects yesterday.  Flying Bison Brewery can proceed with the demolition of a building at 840 Seneca St in order to build a larger brewery and tasting room. Also approved were a
renovation of the former American Radiator Co. building on Elmwood Avenue into a mixed-use project and Amherst-based The Benchmark Group's construction of a three-story building on Elmwood Ave. that will house first-floor retail and 24 apartments.

State Health Department certification is still needed, but Mercy Hospital’s ambulatory care center in Orchard Park is preparing for an $8 million face-lift.  Business First reports the center would add 15,000-square-feet and renovate an existing 20,000 square feet of space in order to improve and modernize the facility.

Fourth quarter profits for Sovran Self Storage increased by $8.7 million over the same period from the year before.  Sovran shares are also up for the period by $10.97, to $71.99 per share.
