Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says a comprehensive review of Child Protective Services' casework activity in connection with a five year old boy who died of a beating has led to certain actions.
Poloncarz says two employees have been fired, while two others have been suspended. Poloncarz adds the leadership of CPS and Children's Services have been reassigned to "Better match the strengths of our leaders and address the needs of the community."
Social Services took action following the death of Eain Clayton Brooks, who was taken off life support September 17th and died following a beating police say was at the hands of 26 year old Matthew Kuzdzal. Kuzdzal is charged with second degree murder.
