Clymer Residents 'Shocked and Stunned' Over Supt. Murder

Clymer, NY (WBEN) The Town of Clymer is close-knit, says a Jamestown radio reporter. He says the town has been reeling since the shooting death of Clymer Schools Superintendent Keith Reed.

"Shocked and stunned are the two words that best describe the mood," says Terry Frank of WJTN. "There are 400 students or so in the district, so everyone is impacted by this."

Frank notes one neighbor mentioned gunfire was not uncommon in the neighborhood. "This neighborhood at plenty of gunshots, whether it's hunting or target practice, so it's likely no one heard the shooting," explains Frank.

He says Reed survived a near fatal motorcycle accident a few years back.

Chautauqua County Sheriff Joe Gerace tells WBEN the investigation is continuing, and would not comment on a possible motive or suspect.
