Also parked at the Taste for the first time? A quartet of popular food vehicles: Lloyd’s Taco Truck, The Roaming Buffalo, The Cheesy Chick and R&R BBQ Food Truck. If you want to wet your whistle with some vino, seven wineries will be pouring some of their best from local vineyards.
“The Taste has become one of the most anticipated summer events; final preparations are being made by approximately 1,000 volunteers who are ready to bring the best the region has to offer,” said Chris Hitchcock, 2012 chairman. “The Taste gives festival-goers an opportunity to easily explore new restaurants and sample different dishes they wouldn’t ordinarily try,” added Hitchcock, who is a senior sales engineer at Birdair and a 22-year volunteer at the Taste.
Live local music acts will be on hand for the two day feeding frenzy. By the way, it’s possible to attend the festival and still eat a healthy diet. Did you know the Taste of Buffalo is the only food fest in the U.S. that requires all participating restaurants to offer a healthy menu item? Those samples are lower in fat, cholesterol and sodium.
