WIVB-TV, Channel 4 and WNLO-TV, Channel 23 are looking at a deadline - 5 pm today.
Unless the TV stations come to terms on how much they will be paid for Time Warner Cable to carry the channels, both Channel 4 and 23 will be taken off Time Warner which has an incredible 54-percent subscriber average in Western New York. If you're a Time Warner subscriber, a percentage of the money that's part of your bill goes to Lin Media, owners of Channels 4 and 23.
This same stalemate happened in 2008. After both sides failed to come to an agreement, Time Warner pulled Channels 4 and 23 from the cable and the dispute dragged on for 25-days.
Channel 4 has been running notices advising viewers that the blackout is possible
