Police say they were called to the Comfort Inn overnight after a hangup 911 call.
Officers responded to Room 269 and located and interviewed Brianna Brown of Buffalo and Charles Griffith of Niagara Falls. Officers immediately detected a strong odor of marijuana. They say a follow up investigation revealed suspected cocaine, pills that are believed to be controlled substances, two digital scales, cell phones, a large amount of suspected marijuana, rubber gloves, plastic bags believed to be intended for individual packaging, and a large amount of cash.
Brown and Griffith were both charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree (a class B felony) in addition to other assorted charges. Both were arraigned in Lockport City Court this morning.
Brown was remanded to the Niagara County Jail with $10,000 bail. Griffith was remanded to the Niagara County Jail with no bail. Both return to court Wednesday..
