"We all know the Bills are 0-4 in Super Bowls. But don’t forget the Sabres, who have competed in 29 Stanley Cup playoffs, including six semifinals, without a Cup," the magazine writes in their annual rankings.
Seattle ranked number one of the major U.S. sports towns with at least 75 cumulative NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL seasons. The magazne looked at total win loss records, and the number of times the cities saw big major loses on the brink great victories.
The Seattle ranking also took into account the teams loss of a basketball franchise, and a controversial call in 2005's Super Bowl XXXIX. Atlanta and Phoenix took second and third, with San Diego only slightly happier than Buffalo ranked fifth.
