716 Food and Sport will feature a 38 foot video screen and seating for 360 guests.
An additional 55 big screen televisions will be on display throughout the two-floor restaurant, including individual in-booth TVs with dedicated sound. There will also be a private VIP area on the second floor.
While floor plans and renderings have been released, the menu is still being kept a secret. "When we talk about Western New York culinary favorites, we talk about beef on weck and wings, and certainly we're going to feature products of that nature," 716 General Manager Dominic Verni said. "They won't be typical, they will be more than typical and better than expected both in the presentation, and maybe offering some twists to those items."
While Venri would not comment on menu pricing, he did say that prices would be "very competitive" so that a family could enjoy a meal at 716.
716 will be located at the corner of Scott Street and Washington Street, and will open around the same time that the rinks at Harbor Center open their doors. Harbor Center President John Koelmel would not give an exact date when that would be, but instead said they are sticking to their timeline of the Fall of this year.
