'Willy Wonka' Actor Gene Wilder Dead At 83

Actor Gene Wilder
Actor Gene Wilder often stole scenes in his movies, and was probably best known for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Young Frankenstein.

Some were surprised to learn he had been battling Alzheimer's disease. A statement released from his nephew said, "We understand for all the emotional and physical challenges this situation presented we have been among the lucky ones — this illness-pirate, unlike in so many cases, never stole his ability to recognize those that were closest to him, nor took command of his central-gentle-life affirming core personality. The decision to wait until this time to disclose his condition wasn't vanity, but more so that the countless young children that would smile or call out to him "there's Willy Wonka," would not have to be then exposed to an adult referencing illness or trouble and causing delight to travel to worry, disappointment or confusion. He simply couldn't bear the idea of one less smile in the world."

A few clips of his awesome work:

Why You Won't Be Able To Get The iPhone 7

iPhone
Apple has announced their next press event for September 7th, and odds are they'll announce the new iPhone then.

Can't wait to get one? Be patient because there are reports saying the phone will be in short supply at launch. It's due to problems with faulty components.

It's fun to have something the day it comes out, but always smarter to wait at least a month for them to work through any major problems.

The Reason Taylor Swift Is In Court

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift was absent from the VMAs, but why? It looks like she's spending time in the courtroom.

She's in Nashville to complete her civic duty as a juror. According to sources she didn't even pull the old - "Your honor, I'm Taylor Swift."

Hard to see her making it on a jury though.

Three And A Half Things We Learned From The VMAs

Beyonce and US Olympic Gymnasts
1. Beyonce broke Madonna's record and now has the most VMAs ever. She also needs to put out a workout video - stat. Her VMA Lemondae performance was 16 minutes long. We haven't seen that action since 1995 when Micheal Jackson and Slash went crazy with "Don't Stop 'til You Get Enough"/"The Way You Make Me Feel"/"Scream"/"Beat It"/"Thriller"/"Black or White"/"Billie Jean"/"Dangerous"/"Smooth Criminal"/"You Are Not Alone"

2. As Drake presented his ex Rihanna with the MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs, he seemed to try to kiss her, but NOPE.

3. No one wanted to be Britney Spears last night - she had to follow Beyonce.

3.5. No one had more fun than these guys - the Final Five US gold gymnasts — Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, and Gabby Douglas. They even got to present the award for Best Female Video to Beyoncé and were simply bouncing up and down.

Jimmy Fallon Plays Ryan Lochte In Hilarious Sketch

Jimmy Fallon as Ryan Lochte
There were lots of real Olympic athletes at the show, and one hilarious fake one.

Jimmy Fallon showed up as Ryan Lochte and had lots of great lines including, "Who had the best video of the year? I could never choose. I couldn't tell you even if there was a gun to my head... which there isn't."

VIDEO: Every Second Of Kanye West's VMA Rant

Kanye West
The story is that MTV told Kanye West he could have four minutes to do whatever he wanted at the VMAs. That's a smart risk for MTV because Kanye makes headlines!

Did it live up to the hype? He talked about Taylor Swift, Ray J, and more. Watch:

Problem With The MTV Video Awards Seating Chart?

Taylor Swift
We all know it, where you sit matters. Cool kids? Not so cool kids? Upper management? Interns? The MTV Video Music Awards seating chart is equally as challenging.

Most celeb guests like Beyonce request their seat mates because ... BEYONCE.

During the show, several people switch seats too, in a effort to get closer to Taylor Swift. No seriously, according to TIME, Taylor is the most requested seat neighbor.

Expect Olympians - Michael Phelps will be seated behind Alicia Keys. Simone Biles will be with the Final Five because they are adorable. No word on if Zach Efron (who started up a Tweet love fest with Simone) will be seated next to Simone but she's on the asile, so can we at least get a tumbling pass?

Kim and Kanye will be in the front row - yawn - but there's one problem. Taylor Swift's name card is missing. Now, that doesn't mean she won't come but fans are anxious to see her and her new man Tom Hiddleston walk the red carpet.

Taylor might skip the whole thing. It depends on who you ask, but US Weekly says Taylor Swift will not be attending the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday and multiple sources confirmed it.

Confirmed performers for the show include Rihanna, Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Future, but rumor has it Beyonce will be on stage too.

Here's A Twist: Celebrity Drops Endorser Over Bad Behavior

Sarah Jessica Parker

This is an example of the "power of the online parent." The price of the EpiPen, known to help those in anaphylaxis shock, dramatically rose over the last few months without explanation to those who need it. Parents rushed to social media demanding the price be lowered but Sarah Jessica Parker did something better.

She is a spokesperson for the EpiPen and has campaigned for anaphylaxis awareness for manufacturer Mylan (her son has a severe peanut allergy), so this week, SHE dropped THEM.

A photo posted by SJP (@sarahjessicaparker) on

Mylan has since expanded its assistance programs and is offering a savings card for the EpiPen but parents say that's not enough and now want a government investigation.

Mylan CEO Heather Bresch told CNBC, "No one's more frustrated than me." She knows she's the CEO, right? She claims the "broken health-care system" is responsible for the price jump. Oddly enough, it's been reported that Mylan's top executives got raises after the EpiPen price increase.
