The headline is the question I ask myself each and every day here at WBEN and it's the question Bauerle, Beach and the Newsroom ask me most often too! While I'm not certain there's a "right" answer, it does seem the public has an insatiable appetite for the latest on the Presidential race as the November election draws nearer.
Funny too, is the fact that every day there is a new poll out and they all have varying results. One shows Obama leading. The next show Romney in the lead. The bottom line, it seems, is that the race is close. Polling is all about the sample and who the sample is. Sampling explains the variances in the poll results. But the fact that ALL the polls seem to be close(within the margine of error) would indicate that we at least know it's a very tight race. Seems to me the winner in November will be the candidate who successfully keeps their foot out of their mouth and gets THEIR core followers out to the polls. Beyond that, I don't think even the best politico can make a better guess than "too close to call".
In the meantime, we'll keep you up to date with the latest and offer you the forum to voice your views. And, by all means, if you have some thoughts on how much political talk is "too much", please leave it below.
