Buffalo, NY (WBEN Newsroom) -- According to the AAA, the average cost for a gallon of gas in Western New York is $2.78. That’s right back to where it was one month ago and reflects a seven cent increase from a week ago. The national average per gallon is $2.65; an increase of ten cents from last week’s price.
An analysis by Business First indicates that despite a recent slump for the hospitality industry, over $35 million is being spent to renovate a handful of downtown Buffalo hotels. The Adam’s Mark, Hyatt Regency and Hampton Inn have all done or begun work to upgrade their rooms. Not included in that figure was work on the Curtiss Building and a tentatively planned hotel as part of the Canal Side project.
