A BAND OF VERY HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW OVER THE BUFFALO METRO AREA
EXTENDING INTO NORTHWEST GENESEE COUNTY WILL CONTINUE TO SLOWLY MOVE
BACK SOUTH AGAIN THIS EVENING. EXPECT DETERIORATING CONDITIONS OVER
THE SOUTH TOWNS AS THE BAND MOVES OVER THAT REGION TO INCLUDE THE SHORE
LINE OF LAKE ERIE FROM SILVER CREEK TO HAMBURG. THE LAKE BAND WILL
ALSO IMPACT I-90 FROM BUFFALO TO SILVER CREEK. SNOWFALL RATES OF
ABOUT 2 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR CAN BE EXPECTED...TRAVEL WILL BECOME
EXTREMELY DIFFICULT WITH SNOW COVERED ROADS AND NEAR ZERO
VISIBILITY AT TIMES. MOTORISTS SHOULD ALLOW A LOT OF EXTRA TIME
AND BE PREPARED FOR SEVERE WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS.
