Bills GM Buddy Nix spoke on sister-station WGR Sportsradio 550 on Tuesday afternoon.
He knows the fans' expectations are high, but he also points out the team's expectations are also high heading into training camp, especially following an active off-season in which the team signed high profile free agent Mario Williams and Mark Anderson to help improve the team's pass rush.
Nix says the Bills know they're better and it's time for team to step up and start winning some games.
"And we all know that," Nix says.
Nix says his defensive front four -- including Williams, Anderson, Kyle Williams, and Marcel Dareus -- will have a pass rush, but Nix also thinks fans will be surprised at how well the group can stop the run.
The Bills play their season opener at MetLife Stadium against division rival, the New York Jets, and Nix says division games are "huge."
"I think you gotta play good and win in your division. I think that's the first step to gettin' where you want to go," Nix says.
When a team opens with a division rival at their place, Nix believes players work harder in their offseason activities. Nix also believes it's helped the Bills' preparation this summer.
