(WGR 550) -- Trent Edwards will not be the Bills quarterback on Sunday in Carolina, and there's a new mystery surrounding Terrell Owens as well.
Terrell Owens was watching the portion of Friday's practice the media is allowed to watch. Dick Jauron did not put Owens on the injury report, saying his non-participation was not related to injury.
Edwards is progressing, according to Jauron and head trainer Bud Carpenter, but will be not be able to play this week.
"Not to be cute about it, but he's progressing like you're supposed to progress," Carpenter said before adding, "No setbacks."
Jauron said Edwards had been to work this week to see doctors, but not Jauron. Josh Reed or Fred Jackson are among the team's options if both Ryan Fitzpatrick and Gibran Hamdan were unable to perform.
Jonathan and Bryan Scott are both out, while Donte Whitner will also miss Sunday's game. Shawn Nelson is doubtful with an illness, while Kyle Williams is questionable with a shoulder injury. Terrence McGee (knee), Chris Kelsay (eye), and Xavier Omon (illness) are all probable.
