Amherst, NY (WBEN) After a face to face meeting, with Citi's CEO, Senator Charles Schumer says 175 more jobs have been committed to the company's site in Amherst.
Schumer stated that in his meeting with Citigroup CEO Michael Corbat, that the bank’s desired job growth in Amherst was a primary topic and Corbat announced that the size of the company’s workforce in Western New York would grow to 1,475 employees – a growth of 825 workers from 2007.
“I’m pleased to announce that Amherst can bank on 175 new Citi jobs to fill in Amherst,” said Senator Schumer. “Citi has more than doubled their workforce in Western New York’s CrossPoint Business Park facility over the past six years, and after meeting with Mr. Corbat, I’m hopeful for even further growth down the road, in addition to these 175 new jobs.”
