Snowy Roads Further South



(WBEN) The expected overnight wallop of Lake Effect hit mostly south of Buffalo and might make some wonder what all the fuss is. But for folks in Springville, Eden and points south, the drive in this morning is treacherous, and school closings abound.

The 12 hour totals recorded by the National Weather Service tell the tale:  Perrysburg recorded 18 inches of snow between 6 pm Tuesday and 6am Wednesday. .Cassadaga in Chautauqua county recorded 12 inches over the same period, compared to East Aurora with 2.5 during that time

There is a Lake Effect Snow WARNING through Thursday morning -- for southern Erie, Wyoming, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus Counties. 8 to 15 more inches of new snow are possible. A lake snow ADVISORY for Allegany County until Thursday, and now, for northern Erie county, just today from 9 am to 7 pm, for 3 to 6 inches of new snow.
