Steve Cichon: Goodbye & Good Luck

WBEN bids a fond farewell to news director Steve Cichon today.

He's been at WBEN off and on-- and mostly on-- for nigh on 20 years, starting as a station intern at the age of 16, begging rides from parents or taking several bus transfers from his Orchard park home to our then Elmwood Avenue Studios long before he was even able to drive.

In the time since, he's garnered numerous Associated Press awards for his reporting and rose through the ranks from board operator to the man in charge of our news coverage for the past 17 months.

From 1993 to 1998, Steve was a producer of news and sports programs on WBEN, including Buffalo Bills Football. He also filled in as the traffic reporter in SkyView 930.
