Threat Phoned into Niagara Falls High School
Niagara Falls, NY (WBEN) A 14 year old has been charged with terroristic threats and aggravated harassment in connection with a threat phoned into police dispatchers earlier this week.
On Wednesday Niagara Falls School District officials were informed of a threat of violence phoned in. "The sheriff's department was able to trace the origination of the call to our high school, " says Judie Glaser, Niagara Falls Schools Spokesperson. "Investigating this, they came to determine this was not a credible threat." Nevertheless, Glaser says the school took no chances. "You have to take these things very seriously, and what was a prank then isn't anymore," explains Glaser. "You have to take everything with the utmost of seriousness, and that's what we did."
Glaser says one school considered a lockdown briefly, but quickly determined it was not necessary.
