Three dogs and twenty cats were removed from a Cherokee Drive home in Cheektowaga Monday, and the owner is charged with several counts of animal cruelty.
Agents raided the home Monday evening, and charges were filed against Gary Bulger.
"The dogs and cats were living in their own feces and squalor. The cats were covered in excrement. I've honestly never seen anything like it. We were all in a state of shock when they came in," said Debby Williams, SPCA Veterinary Services Manager in a prepared statement.
Bulger was charged with eighteen counts of animal cruelty and will be arraigned in the town of Cheektowaga Court on May 28, 2014.
