WBEN's NewsAlert 930 Desktop Application is a FREE small, simple application which you can download and install on your Windows-based personal computer. It’s like having your own personal meteorologist right on your computer. Once installed and connected to the Internet, you will receive current temperature and severe weather warnings directly on your computer screen, as well as other features such as local and national weather.

The application can either run fully open on your desktop or as a minimized application – showing the current temperature – in your system tray. NewsAlert 930 Desktop Application offers you many features:

NewsAlert 930 Desktop Application Operation:

• To Minimize the window, just click on the X in the upper right corner. The current temperature will be displayed in your Windows task bar.
• To Maximize the window again, double-click on the WBEN NewsAlert 930 icon or the current temperature display.
• During severe weather warnings, you will receive a text crawl directly on your computer much like those you are familiar with seeing on television. The crawl is preceded by an audible alert sound, to bring attention to your computer.
• All you need is an Internet connection. No web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, is required to receive the benefits of the NewsAlert 930.
