Warsaw, NY (WBEN / release) -- A Wyoming County man has been arrested on child pornography charges.
State Police in Clarence say last Thursday, they picked up 40-year-old James R. Weaver III on a warrant, following an investigation spanning the past three years. Weaver was found to be in possession of child pornography.
He has arraigned on felony charges, and sent to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

On August 15, 2013 New York State Police in Warsaw arrested JAMES R. WEAVER III, 40 years of age of Warsaw, NY (previous resident of Buffalo, NY and Barre, VT) on a warrant charging him with Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (less than 17), a Class D Felony, and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (less than 16), a Class E Felony. WEAVER was the subject of a lengthy investigation by the State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the FBI - Buffalo Cyber Task Force since 2010. He was found to possess images and/or videos of the sexual performance of a child. WEAVER was taken into custody and later arraigned before Wyoming County Court Justice MARK DADD who then remanded him to Wyoming County Jail on $10,000.00 bail. He will return to county court at a later date to further answer the charges.
