Regionalism Advocate Takes West Seneca Downsizing Referendum to Court
Buffalo, NY (WBEN) -- Kevin Gaughan says he hates to do this, but he is taking his downsizing referendum petition to court. His hearing is set for Friday.
Gaughan's petition to reduce the size of the West Seneca Town Board from five members to three was challenged. That challenge by the Board of Elections was upheld on the grounds the wording was not clear.
Gaughan calls the challenges by politicians "a last desperate attempt" to block a plan which he believes will help cut costs in municipal government.
