Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Sure, the race for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination is a couple of years away, but many are wondering who could contend for the party's nod.
Rand Paul is considered one front runner, but another has the same qualities according to Buffalo State College Professor Bruce Bryski: Florida Senator Marco Rubio. "They're both very good speakers, they have already developed a following in the Republican party and tea party," says Bryski. "Rubio has been hesitant up to this point, but if you look at the CPAC conference, he seems to be more and more eager."
Bryski says don't count out Chris Christie of New Jersey either. Another energetic Republican, Bryski says Christie did fall out of favor with conservatives because of his handling of Superstorm Sandy with President Obama.
There's also a dark horse candidate we don't know of who could step up, according to Bryski.
