BUFFALO, NY (WBEN) - This winter has been persistently cold...and snowy across Western and Central New York. Snow has averaged above normal each of the 5 main winter months (November through March) for Buffalo. Temperatures at all locations have averaged below normal...and for many months well below normal.

Here are some statistics to highlight just how hard of a winter it has been across our region. For Buffalo measurements moved from downtown to the airport in the summer of 1943. Mean average temperature over the November to March timeframe...
