BUFFALO, N.Y. (WBEN) - Once Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo moves from its Bryant Street location to the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in November, Ellicott Development and Sinatra & Company Real Estate will take over the property and convert it into a mixed-use facility.

No officials plans have been formally announced, but Nick Sinatra, the President and CEO of Sinatra & Company, guaranteed the tower at the site will stick around.

"We're going to do a lot of in-fill town homes for sale," Sinatra said. "That's one thing we know. Specifically on the Utica Street side where the empty parking lot is. We're in agreement with Ellicott and in agreement with our lease under the stakeholders that we've spoken to that the town homes for sale make a lot of sense over on Utica."

In the immediacy, Sinatra said he and the Paladino-owned Ellicott Development will meet with stakeholders and community members as early as this week to see how their plans can fit together.

He expected to reach an agreement with Kaleida Health within the next 30-60 days.

"The construction itself, that's hard to say how long that is going to take," Sinatra said. "We'd like to take possession of the property when Kaleida is ready. That should be by the end of the year. At that point, we're going to move as quickly as we can to begin redevelopment. It will be done in phases."

The property has approximately 650,000 square feet of existing infrastructure in the Elmwood Avenue district according to the original submissions from Ellicott & Sinatra from a public meeting in January 2016.

As it relates to the controversy over Ciminelli Real Estate being replaced by the Sinatra-Paladino partnership, Sinatra would not provide comment and deferred comment to Kaleida Health.

"We are really excited and happy to have the opportunity to do it," Sinatra said. "Ellicott Development and Sinatra, we both feel like we're going to do a great job and are thrilled for it."
