Gas prices continue to creep upward.  The AAA pegs the current cost at $2.64 per gallon of unleaded.  That's up a penny from last week.

The state Department of Transportation will soon advance the development of the new downtown train station.  According to Business First, next month the DOT will issue “Request for Qualifications” for design-build services related to the proposed Amtrak depot.  That depot will be built near the current one on Exchange Street.

Amazon has raised the price of its Prime membership for the first time since 2014.  The new monthly fee is $12.99 - up $2 from the previous cost - with the annual price remaining at $99.
