The AAA puts the current average for a gallon of unleaded gas at $2.64, down a penny from last week's cost.  That price has slowly fallen seven cents per gallon in the past month.

Darien Lake plans to add a new roller coaster to the theme park for the coming season.  The Batavia Daily News reports plans have been submitted to the Genesee County Planning Board for a new coaster featuring a near-vertical lift.  The new ride will replace the Thunder Rapids log flume water ride that is among the park’s oldest attractions, and is set to be demolished.

With Dough Boyz already open at The Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls, there are seven other stores opening there this month.  Set for the holiday season are: BFLO Gallery and Gift Shop, Snowy Station. Just Cozy, Donut Ninja, Hickory Farms, See’s Candies and Kettle Corn Kreations & Snacks... 

Anchor Bar’s newest franchise location, inside the Holiday Inn Niagara Falls, will officially open on November 16th with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:30pm.  The opening marks the restaurant chain’s eleventh location.
