Upscale women’s clothing store Danahy’s has moved across Sheridan Drive from the Northtown Plaza to Piccadilly Plaza at 3206 Sheridan Drive.  Danahy’s chose to relocate to a permanent location rather than vacate the plaza temporarily and then return once renovations were complete.  Danahy’s opened in Buffalo in 1925. 

JJ’s Casa di Pizza delivered some parting gifts to the new John Oishei Children’s Hospital on Monday.  200 pizzas were sent to the hospital’s staff.  Until moving two years ago, Casa di Pizza was on Elmwood Avenue near the Bryant Street - home of the now-closed Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo.

The Buffalo Niagara Association of Realtors has spun the numbers for October.  Median sales for the month were up 8.6 percent from the same month a year ago.  The average price topped $170,000, reflecting a 5.4 percent jump from October 2016.

For the 15th straight year, the University at Buffalo is among the top 25 U.S. institutions hosting international students.  UB is ranked No. 21 by the latest Institute of International Education report.
