Louie's Original Footlong Hot Dogs plans to return to Buffalo with a year-round location at 1893 Niagara Street.   WKBW-TV reports Louie's will be at the former George's Diner, in Black Rock.  A March 1st, 2018 opening is planned.

The commissioning ceremony for the USS Little Rock on December 16 at Canalside is at capacity.  The Commissioning Committee said it has been forced to end ticket registration due to an overwhelming number of requests.  Despite the commissioning day sell-out, the ship will be docked on the Buffalo waterfront from December 8th-17th.  

Absolut Care of Aurora Park hosts its annual Community Tree Lighting Ceremony Saturday, November 25th at 6pm.  Also featured: horse-drawn sleigh rides, a Ferris wheel, face painting, Santa and his reindeer, hot cocoa, holiday music, an ice carving demonstration, and more - all at 292 Main Street in East Aurora.

Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara, a non-profit supporting people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities will hold an open interview session on November 28 at 107 Heath Street in Lockport from 3-7pm.
