The Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York hosts a grand opening of their new state-of-the-art multispecialty surgery center, located at 945 Sweet Home Road in Amherst.   The grand opening takes place from 5:30 - 8:30pm.

After shutting down briefly this year, Choco-Logo Confectionery Design is returning under new ownership.  Bob Little is the new owner; former owner Dan Johnson will stay on as the main chocolatier.  A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 11am on Thursday. 

No more Sears or Kmart locations in the Buffalo market will close, despite an announcement from Sears Holdings Co. that it plans to close 63 more sites by January.  As pointed out in Business First, Sears Holdings Co. had already announced closures for Sears locations in the Walden Galleria and Boulevard Mall.
