The Buffalo Planning Board has okayed a pair of projects in the city.  Froth Brewing on Military Road can begin brewing beers.  Business First reports Froth Brewing hopes to be open later this year.  Also, The Garage Cafe & Lounge at 1127 Hertel Avenue near Delaware was approved.  The Garage operators want to add seasonal outdoor dining in the rear portion of its property, beginning this spring.

Separately, the Buffalo Planning Board granting a one year extension to the Montante/Morgan Gates Circle LLC development tandem.  The group is redeveloping the former Millard Fillmore Gates Hospital complex.  Still to be worked out are a pair of issues: plans to acquire a city-owned parking ramp on the property., and the addition of an affordable housing component.

The state Department of Labor reports the January jobless rate in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area stayed flat at 6.2 compared to the same month a year ago.  Other upstate cities - including Rochester, Syracuse and Albany - had slight gains in unemployment for the same period.
