Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Be prepared to shell out beaucoup bucks if you want to spend New Year's Day 2018 at the Bridgestone Winter Classic between the Sabres and New York Rangers. But the Sabres say there's not a bad seat in the house.

Tickets go on sale on tomorrow, Oct. 12, at  10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com. They range from $119 to $449, but Sabres spokesman Chris Bandura says you can't go wrong no matter where you sit. "We went there a few weeks ago for the press conference. There's not a bad seat in the house," says Bandura, who admits that's unusual considering Citi Field is one of baseball's newer stadiums. "We took a walk around and while the $119 tickets are high up but you're close to the field."

The Sabres and Rangers will play Jan. 1, 2018, at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. The game will be broadcast live on NBC at 1 p.m. Both the Sabres and Rangers will be making their second appearance in the NHL Winter Classic. Buffalo hosted the first-ever NHL Winter Classic against the Pittsburgh Penguins, a 2-1 shootout loss in front of 71,217 fans at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Jan. 1, 2008. New York defeated the hometown Philadelphia Flyers at Citizens Bank Park at the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on Jan. 2, 2012, by a score of 3-2.
