Thankful for the Opportunity to Get Stuffed

Tis the season to break out the elastic pants and avoid the scale.  That’s been my mantra for the last couple weeks and it has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. I was on a two week Mediterranean cruise, a trip of a lifetime that lived up to the billing. As many of you know who cruise the high seas, gut-busting meals on the ship are as routine as patches and breathtaking views. I will share my experience with you next week.

In the meantime, I am thankful to have the opportunity to write about a subject that engenders so much passion and debate: food! Thanks for reading the column and for providing me with your feedback. Enjoy the bounty of Thanksgiving with your family and friends, and know that I am grateful to live in a country with freedom and tradition (not including the dreaded green bean casserole)!
