(WBEN) - After years of planning and construction, the Canalside Ice is now open for skating following a celebrated opening night in downtown Buffalo Thursday.  The $24 million project became a reality as hundreds of skaters took to the ice during a public skate that followed a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
