Niagara Falls, NY (WBEN) When a contestant is called to come down on this morning's "The Price is Right," that contestant has an opportunity to win a trip to our backyard. A prize offered is a trip to Niagara Falls.

John Percy of Niagara Tourism and Convention Corporation says show producers came to the group a few years back to discuss setting up prize packages. "We've had great success with CBS, and we arranged three prize packages," says Percy, who notes today's prize package includes a six night stay at Giacomo Hotel, and passes to a number of attractions, including Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, and Old Fort Niagara.

Percy says partners have been more than willing to help provide those prizes as part of the package. He says the exposure is valuable. "We could not afford this type of advertising otherwise," says Percy.

Percy adds the relationship is expanding beyond "The Price is Right." Percy says "Let's Make a Deal," also seen on CBS, will soon offer a pair of trips to Niagara Falls. The self-described game show fans says he'd love to have trips offered to "Wheel of Fortune," or perhaps convince that show to make a road trip here.
