Romney wins Florida GOP primary
Does a long and nasty primary help make candidates ultimately better? Or are Republicans hurting themselves here?
We're talking Mitt and Newt here ... what standards are you applying, oh yeah this is the Limbaugh station, that tells you all you need to know about standards around here. ps. Mitt read his victory speech from a teleprompter.
Someone with his track record - kicked out of the House for being a crook, doing whatever his overlord Mr Adelson commands him to do, using racism as a campaign strategy - should be a natural fit for the right wing base.
a little more open minds, huh?
Just once I wish the people who write stuff here would realize that it's not a conspiracy, just because beach or bauerle happen to have different opinions than they do.
more to come
Newt nailed it. 46 states to go doth not a landslide make.
LOL -- sorry to break it to you but we're all judged by the company we keep. You're stuck with the most preposterous of wingnuts. Ya sleep with dogs, you're gonna wake up with fleas.
Charles Pierce at Esquire gets it exactly right.
"Newt Gingrich should stay in the race, doing exactly what he's doing, for as long as he wants to do it. If he wants to show up in Tampa come August to hurl invective at the walls of the convention center, he should do precisely that. And I am not saying this entirely because I know such a development will be wonderful theater and will drive Willard Romney batty. I am saying it because, for over 20 years, I have watched the Republican party embrace Gingrichism. I have watched it profit politically for having done so. I have watched it become coarser, more ignorant, and more vicious perhaps than any national political party has been since the days when actual fistfights broke out around the hard-cider barrel in the town square. I have watched it adopt retrograde policies that have damaged the country. All of these are products of the politics created and practiced by Newt Gingrich."
