Trooper Saves Toddler in Pool

A State Police trooper is being credited with saving a toddler who was unresponsive in a pool.

Troopers say last night just before 9pm, Trooper Christopher Sullivan of the Boston barracks headed to a home on Omphalius Road in the town of Boston, where a 23 month old girl was unresponsive in the family's inground pool.

The child was unconscious and not breathing when Sullivan arrived. Authorities say he began cardiopulmonary resuscitation and was able to partially revive the girl.

An emergency medical crew arrived soon after and transported the toddler to Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo, where she's listed in critical but stable condition. Police say at this time, the child is expected to make a full recovery.

She's expected to make a fully recovery.
