Buffalo, NY (WBEN) Another high honor for Sabres play by play man Rick Jeanneret this week. After being voted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame, Jeanneret is receiving the Foster Hewitt Award for broadcast excellence by the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Jeanneret has been the Sabres play by play announcer since 1971.
but the Buffalo Hall of Fame thing to me is like...big deal, it's only for this town. HOW COOL though, that Rick is being recognized by the league-wide HOF!
