SPCA Niagara says Lewis has accepted the offer of a one year contract to serve as our Executive Director.
The board of directors cited a number of accomplishments by Lewis during her time as interim executive director. "Ms. Lewis has raised the survival rate at the shelter from a disappointing 56% to an amazing 86%. She has significantly increased the number of foster families accepting animals for short term care. Animal care and conditions at the shelter have been vastly improved. Ms. Lewis has also initiated planning and fundraising for short and long-term improvements to the shelter," says the statement.
The following Board Members have been elected as the Interim Executive Officers of Board of Directors of the SPCA:
President – Bob Richardson JD
Vice-President – Dr. Pamela Bruns
Treasurer – David Urban CPA
Secretary – Michelle Madigan MBA CSP
