I love discovering new and exciting foods, especially those that are cool, creamy, and delicious and packaged in an innovative way that makes so much sense. My quest for enjoying good tasting food that isn’t going to leave me wracked by guilt is almost an obsession.
OK, it is an obsession!
Just recently I was introduced to Ehrmann Yogurt, which started by the family in Bavaria several decades ago. They’ve crossed the pond and brought that distinctive old-world goodness and family recipes to the U.S., settling in Vermont.
What appeals to me besides the five flavors: strawberry, peach, cherry and my two favorites—blueberry and blackberry-pomegranate—is the natural ingredients. You won’t find additives, sweeteners or funky preservatives when you peel back the lid of an Ehrmann yogurt container.

The packaging is different than the tons of yogurts in your supermarket dairy section. Ehrmann’s features a dual chamber, one side containing the yogurt, the other the delicious fruit that you can mix in to your desired taste.
Practical, fun, smart packaging and clever thinking!
I usually eat it for breakfast, but I have friends who opt for Ehrmann’s Yogurt as a healthy, delicious alternative to heavy desserts that ratchet up the calories in your daily diet. It is especially refreshing in this hot weather no matter when you indulge.
Look for Ehrmann Yogurt at Wegmans. Tell the store manager it’s earned the “Brenda’s Bites” Spoon of Approval!
