The peacocks in Colden are mainly seen walking up and down Knapp Road between Route 240 and Irish Road.  Many people in town are talking about the big birds.   One of the photos was sent to Tom B. from a person who said they sighted the Peacock in West Falls, which -as you know - is a hike from Colden's Knapp Road.  

  The DEC says the birds can not survive the winter without shelter.  But, these birds have been around since last year.

Jennifer in West Falls writes: " This was taken several months ago at my next-door neighbor's house.  The peacock had been roaming the neighborhood for several weeks.  We called around & it had not escaped from any local sanctuary.  Police thought it may have been a private owner's."
