State Supreme Court Judge Donna Siwek heard from both sides this morning and will issue a decision this afternoon.
The issue, according to Paladino, is how the Buffalo School Board reached its decision to hire Dr. Pamela Brown to become the new superintendent. Paladino claims Brown was hired in a secretive process, including discussing paying Brown a consulting fee before her contract was formally approved. He says that discussion was held during an executive session, a violation of the state's open meeting law.
Attorneys for the Buffalo School Board say the process was done in an open and proper manner.
